
Gale took part in a modeling competition in Perth at the age of 18. After several years of modeling Gale became famous as she was selected in 1999 for a role in a number of commercials for an Italian Telecommunications company, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) and she was featured in the advertisements of the company until. The company also hired her to the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as the 'advertisement face of Australia and Italy'. Gale has been featured on the covers of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan and Vogue Italia. Gale has worked for Italian designers, including Gianfranco Fere Genny and Gai Mattiolo and also at the fashion shows of Mariella Burani Angelo Marani, and Milan Fashion Week. Gale has also been a fan of many Australian fashion designers, including Colette Dinnigan Kirrily johnston, Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. She was the fashion specialist for the Logies the award for an Australian TV award in 2006. In January 2008, Gale announced her retirement of runway fashion after fifteen years. She also walked down the catwalk for the final moment a couple of weeks later in an David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. Her final outfit was the Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the unreleased film Justice League of America. Gale closed Alex Perry 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival in March of 2011. Gale also celebrated her 10-year anniversary in August 2011. It was the longest-running fashion contract for Australia and the David Jones department store. In the same month, Gale has been appointed an ambassador of L'Oreal Paris, joining Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. Gale played a role in a L'Oreal Shampoo commercial which aired across Australia, New Zealand, and Italy.
